E-Prescribing
EPOWERdoc offers a web-based e-prescription module utilizing state of the art technology from Dr. First, the leader in e-prescription software solutions, to promote efficiency and safety for the patient and clinician. Dr. First utilizes Surescripts for pharmacy and insurance data management.
The E-prescribing module features Medication History, Allergies, and Diagnosis pre-loaded from EMRDoc to allow for seamless Drug to Drug, Drug to Allergy, and Drug to Diagnosis Interaction warnings carried out by the FirstDatabank database. This two way safety feature then loads prescribed medications and the optional medical history back into the EMRDoc system to complete the Medication History process.
