Iowa-based Emergency Department Practice Management group endorses EMRDoc Emergency Department Information System for Clinical Efficiency and Ease of Use

Omaha, NE – EPOWERdoc, the industry leader in Emergency Department documentation solutions, announced today that it has formalized a partnership with Emergency Practice Associates of Waterloo, Iowa, to jointly promote the use of the EMRDoc Emergency Department Information System. Emergency Practice Associates (EPA) currently provides physician staffing and practice management services to hospitals throughout the Upper Midwest.

Emergency Practice Associates is now a sales support agent of EMRDoc, the fastest Emergency Department Information System on the market today. Current clients of EPA will now be able to purchase the EMRDoc system on a preferred pricing model and received expanded customer services through an existing relationship with EPA. In working with the existing base of contracted physicians and extended providers, EPA will be achieve optimal training for providers on all EMRDoc installations at their client hospitals.

"We are extremely pleased to announce our partnership with Emergency Practice Associates," said David Ernst, MD, FACEP, President, EPOWERdoc. "We recognize EPA as one of the premier practice management groups in the country and we deeply respect their commitment to client service and long-standing presence at their client hospitals. This partnership will allow EPA clients access to a state-the-art electronic medical record for the Emergency Department and continued exceptional customer service from the physician group practice."

EMRDoc is currently installed at two existing hospital locations where Emergency Practice Associates provides physicians and practice management services. Lakes Regional Healthcare in Spirit Lake, Iowa has been a client of EPOWERdoc since 2011 and Montgomery County Memorial Hospital in Red Oak, Iowa will fully implement the product later this month.

“EPA is honored to be considered a sales support agent of EMRDoc,” said Donald Bradley, RN, MBA, Vice President/COO of EPA. “For many years, our hospital clients have been searching for an EMR that has the ability to capture meaningful use dollars, meets all compliance regulations, and interfaces with many of the major computer information systems in the marketplace. Our Clinicians are searching for an intuitive, simple, yet robust EMR that has a relatively short learning curve and provides documentation that reflects an accurate, yet defensible medical record.

“As an organization, EPA wants an EMR that gives all of our stakeholders the ability to succeed. It seems this might be nearly impossible, but we believe EMRDoc has successfully bridged the gap between what hospital Administrators and IT staff want, with what the ED Clinicians and Nurses need.
